Hints for handling minor conflicts

Not all conflict is a major issue. Conflict is a normal part of life. Every day we have disagreements that might seem serious at the time but can usually be dealt with by some simple strategies like:

  • Don’t bottle up your feelings – talk to a friend or someone whose advice you trust.
  • Take time out – getting angry can escalate the problem. Relax by listening to some music or reading a book.
  • Release your anger in positive ways – do something active like taking a walk to calm down.
  • When you’ve calmed down – talk with the person you’ve been arguing with.

Being Harassed

Every person has the right to attend school feeling secure and comfortable. Students who harass others, stop them from achieving their best. Catholic College Bendigo is a school where all students have equal rights, opportunities and responsibilities.
