Uniform Requirements

School uniform is compulsory and all students are expected to take pride in their appearance and grooming, All students must wear full uniform to and from school. All uniform items are as supplied by the College Uniform Centre. For exact details of uniform items please refer to the “Dobson’s price list” available at the General Office. A garment that is “nearly the same” style or colour is not acceptable. All items are compulsory unless indicated as optional.

Sports uniform – is compulsory for all students during practical Physical Education classes, Educational and Physical Activities classes of a physical nature and sporting events. On days when a student has one of these activities, the Sports uniform may be worn to and from school.

Seasonal uniform – Summer uniform is compulsory during Terms I & 4. Winter uniform is compulsory during Terms 2 & 3. A two–week change over period will occur during the first two weeks of Terms 2 and Term 4 when either full winter or full summer uniform may be worn. However, during the last two weeks of Term 3, weather permitting, summer uniform may be worn.

Grooming – Hair, including facial hair, should be kept neat and tidy. Long hair is to be tied back when required for health or safety reasons, such as in Woodwork, Home Economics, Science practical classes. A maximum of two plain studs or sleepers, no bigger than a five cent piece, may be worn in each ear. Facial piercings of any description are not acceptable. A wrist watch may be worn. A plain neck–chain may only be worn if it includes a cross, crucifix or Christian medallion. No other form of visible jewelry is allowed. Whilst sun protection creams are an essential part of uniform, make–up is not permitted. Extremes of fashion are not acceptable.

Accessories – any approved accessories such as raincoats, scarves, beanies, gloves, hair ribbons, etc must be plain navy blue.
