The LaValla (Yrs 7-9) and Coolock (yrs 10-12) libraries offer a comprehensive collection of resources and a range of services to support and enhance the college curriculum.
The libraries offer extensive resources that include: a broad range of adolescent friction, audio books, a wide range of reference and non-fiction books, a large teacher reference collection, computer access, internet and online resources, audio-visual equipment, laptop computers, magazines and periodicals for educational and recreational use, plus newspapers including The Age, The Advertiser, The Herald Sun, The Weekly Times and The Australian.
Information literacy is a high priority and Teacher Librarians work with the teaching staff to develop e-signments (electronic assignments). These e-signments are designed to develop a students thinking skills when working through assignments and also help guide students through a variety of on-line and print resources appropriate for their class work.
