Welcome to the CCB Libraries which include LaValla Library years 7-9 and Coolock Library years 10-12.

The Libraries offer a wide range of resources which support the curriculum. Teacher-librarians as information specialists, offer a variety of services to assist students with their learning. A library Moodle page (online management system) is maintained which provides valuable links and suggested resources for all subjects.

Teacher-librarians team teach with subject teaachers, with emphasis being placed on the development of information and research skills. Students are shown how to improve their research skills through search strategies, web searching hints, bibliographies and referencing procedures for their assignments and projects.

Information literacy is a high priority and the Teacher-librarians work with the teaching staff to develop
e-signments that are available via the Library Moodle page. E-signments are designed to develop a students thinking skills when working through assingments. They also guide students through a variety of on-line and non-print resources appropriate for their class work.
