Please note:

  • These amounts cover all compulsory costs for the year including Year 7, 8 & 10 camps as well as Year 10, 11 & 12 Reflection Day/Retreat. For Year 9, see Outward Bound below.
  • No pro rata refunds apply for non-attendance at the above activities.
  • Optional tours/trips are not included e.g. Central Australia tour, language, skiing, sporting tours. Non–refundable deposits apply to some of these activities.
  • Additional payments are required for Outdoor Education subjects & VET programs. These are yet to be set.
  • Outward Bound in 2008 will cost approximately $840. The cost to parents will be $430.
    In 2007, families paid $410 and the College paid the remaining cost.

Non–acknowledgement of fees and charges is unacceptable and timely contact with the College is requested to allow for suitable arrangements to be made. Special assistance is available to families in cases of financial hardship.

Billing Arrangements

The Family Fee and the Technology Fee will be billed in one instalment in the first two weeks of February.

Payment Arrangements

Families may choose to pay as accounts are issued – weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Any family who wishes to pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly can make that arrangement at any time but preferably prior to the commencement of the school year. Accounts can be paid at either Coolock or La Valla (Coolock preferred).

As well as personal and mail payments, Direct Debit, BPay, Centrepay and EFTPOS (credit card) facilities are available.

Direct Debit

Direct debit forms are available from the Finance Office, or you can download the DD form here (Acrobat pdf). New users of this facility should contact the finance staff to arrange payment amounts.

Bpay

Contact your participating Bank, Credit Union or Building Society to make payments from your cheque, savings or credit card account using the Biller Code and Reference Number printed on your fee account.

Centrepay

Application forms are available from the Finance Office to have pre arranged payments taken directly from Centrelink benefits.

Allowances

Catholic Primary Discount

A Catholic Primary School Discount applies to families that have two or more students at CCB and have at least one child at a Catholic Primary School for whom they are paying the agreed fees. The link for the application form is below. Please print the form and take it to the Primary school and arrange for the Principal of the school to sign it. The form must then be returned to the Finance Office at Coolock for the credit to be processed.

Education Maintenance Allowance

Please note, applications for 2009 close on 27th February.
Parents of students under the age of 16, who are holders of a Commonwealth Healthcare Card or are Foster Parents or TPI Pensioners are entitled to receive this allowance which is payable in two instalments during the year. To receive both payments, applications must be submitted early in February, 2009. Application forms are available from the College. The amount payable in 2008 was $430. A new claim form must be lodged each year.

Youth allowance

Students or job seekers aged between 16 and 24 can apply for Youth Allowance subject to a Parental Means Test and Activity Test. Conveyance Allowance

A student may be granted a conveyance allowance provided that he/she:
• resides not less than 4.8 radial km from the College
• is attending the nearest Catholic Secondary College
• resides not less than 4.8 radial km from a Departmental school bus route.

When enrolling, application must be made on forms available from the College. Mrs Trish Martin, College Registrar, can assist in completing these forms. The allowance is paid to the College in two instalments and credit is passed on to parents by applying the payments to Family Fee accounts. This arrangement does not apply to students travelling from Castlemaine where payment is passed on to the bus company.
