Development

Whilst we honour and embrace our rich history, Catholic College Bendigo is the school of choice for a 21st century education. Our program of innovative building developments across both campuses will create state-of-the-art facilities and new learning opportunities designed to enhance our students’ educational pathways today and well into the future.

We recently completed re-developments of communal recreational areas at both Coolock and La Valla and have new developments planned.

The key intention of this exciting building program is to create innovative spaces for quality learning and teaching and to enhance the wellbeing of our students and community.

At Coolock, the St Mary's Courtyard has been beautifully restored and we have developed the area around the library from a unsightly retaining wall to a tiered passive communal seating area which will soon have native garden beds to finish the project.

At La Valla, McAuley Square (formerly the Quadrangle) has been completed and has already been the focus of some major celebrations and communal gatherings. Catholic College Bendigo has also recently formed partnerships with the AFL, Cricket Australia and other peak sporting bodies which will allow us to further develop our grounds and sporting facilities with the support of the City of Greater Bendigo. This has created a unique opportunity for the formation of an innovative community hub to be located at the La Valla campus.

It is a busy and exciting time and I thank everyone involved for their positive participation in planning for our future.

Mr Brian Turner, Principal
