Catholic College Bendigo is an Equal Opportunity Employer and strives to provide our students with the best possible learning. We believe that our staff, both teachers and school officers, are our most valuable resource. Our aim is to recruit and retain outstanding staff to maintain the highest professional standards.

Catholic College Bendigo is currently the only Catholic secondary school in Bendigo and is situated across two sites. La Valla in Junortoun is for Years 7 - 9 students and home to the Bendigo Schools Trade Training Centre. Our Years 10 - 12 students are at Coolock in central Bendigo which features our Marian Centre and brand new English Learning Centre. (Photo: Staff conference in the Marian Centre)

Catholic College Bendigo seeks to live out a vibrant Mercy charism. Enriched by our Marist heritage and our Sandhurst history we respectfully acknowledge the land and customs of the Jaara people. Our learning community strives to provide each young person with the best educational opportunities to experience personal success. Making Jesus Christ known and loved by all in our community, especially by our young people, is central to our mission. This love of Jesus is reflected in the daily lives of all in our community.

At Catholic College Bendigo we believe:

  • Life is a gift from God
  • Learning brings fullness of life
  • Relationships are built on love and respect
  • In the goodness of young people.

Therefore we are committed to:

  • Living the Good News
  • Enabling personal excellence
  • Listening, reflecting and responding
  • Caring for God's creation
  • Celebrating our story
  • Building community within and beyond our college
  • Promoting lifelong learners
  • Developing confident, courageous and hope-filled people

All Catholic College Bendigo staff are encouraged and supported in their own learning and are asked to be reflective and open in their craft. We are committed to providing our students with teachers and leaders who are passionate, caring and professional, with the ability to inspire.

Please note that all applicants for positions at Catholic College Bendigo must have the right to work in Australia and will have a current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or Working With Children Check.
