What is the P & F?

The P&F is primarily a social group, but also holds a couple of social fundraising events each year. This has allowed the P&F to help the school, for example purchasing a grand piano for the Marian Centre when it opened.

The Principal, Mr Darren McGregor attends meetings to keep the parents informed about the ‘bigger picture’ of school life. He speaks about a range of topical issues across the areas of Catholic identity, pastoral care, leadership, curriculum and finance/facilities/resources. It is an opportunity for parents to ask questions or for Mr McGregor to seek feedback about areas of common interest.

Wine & Food Night

The Catholic College Bendigo Parents & Friends invites you to our annual Wine & Food Night at the Marian Centre, Catholic College Bendigo (Entrance from Wright Street)

Friday 27 November, 6.00 - 9.00 pm

$15 per person before the night OR $20 pp at the door.
Tickets available from General Office at Coolock or La Valla.

Complimentary glass of champagne or beer on arrival.

Gourmet finger food and hot supper provided. Beer, wine, champagne and soft drink available for purchase.

Enjoy music throughout the night.

Parents & Friends July Gathering

The Parent & Friends group (P&F) met on Tuesday 14 July. Led by President Tim Coates (Yr 12 Vincent parent), discussion at the meeting centred around planning for the Trivia Night coming up on Saturday 12 September (7.15 for 7.30 start in Coolock Hall). Put this date in your diary now and start putting your tables of six players together.

The P&F will be providing hot drinks and nibbles at the Parent/Student/Teacher information nights on Monday 10 August (Coolock) and Tuesday 18 August (La Valla). Thanks to Harry Verbeek (Yrs 8&12 MacKillop parent) and Carmel Harrison (Yrs 10&12 MacKillop parent) who are setting up at Coolock; and to Penny Peters (Yr 10 MacKillop parent) and Sharon Guthrie (Yrs 7 & 10 Jaara parent) who are setting up at La Valla. Parents also spoke about their appreciation of the many staff members who gave up their holidays to accompany students on trips within Australia or overseas. This commitment is above and beyond their normal duties and they make it possible for our children to have some wonderful learning and life experiences.
We encourage all College parents to stay in touch with other parents through the P&F gatherings held monthly during term. You are welcome to come every month, or come when you are able. Parents & Friends June Gathering

The Parent & Friends group met on Tuesday 9 June. Those had helped with refreshments on Open Day and Parent/Student/Teacher interview days reported that they enjoyed meeting and chatting with many of our College families.
