Catholic College Students were on the ball at the Combined Schools Fashion Show. This is a highlight feature of the Bendigo Fashion Week Festival, and was held at the Bendigo Town Hall on the evening of Wednesday 9 September. All Colleges in the Bendigo area were represented, including Maryborough and Castlemaine.
Hayley Paley (CH11) Year 12 received an Honourable Mention in the overall category. Hayley was up against students from BRIT’s Clothing Production Certificate entrants. Year 10, Bridget Maloney (JR8) won the Raceware Section.
All students enrolled in Year 10 Textiles and Fashion, Year 11 and Year 12 Art Fashion were encouraged to present their garments. It is vital that our students are able to present their work in the local community at a professional event such as this.
We must acknowledge the organisational efforts of Ms Michelle Goode and Ms Lyn Schroeder (staff of Bendigo Senior Secondary College) in preparing this event. On behalf of the students in the classes, I would like to also thank our Year 10 and 11 subject teacher, Mrs Rhonda Alexander for her encouragement and support to all who entered.
