Mr Lee Coghlan is a 2008 Graduate from Catholic College Bendigo who is currently employed by the College for a one year Traineeship in the Physical Education domain. Lee acquired the position against some tough competition, just as he won the prestigious Michelsen Medal for the Best and Fairest Footballer in the Bendigo Football League by one vote.

Lee is just the fourth teenager to win the medal which represents the highest individual honour possible in the league, and sees him take a 'hat trick', also winning the 'The Advertiser-ASM Player of the Year Award' and being crowned the 'BFL Rising Star'. This popular young staff member played as an onballer for Sandhurst, with his winning of the Michelsen Medal capping a fairytale debut senior season with the Dragons.

Congratulations Lee!

Netball: CCB students poll well in Netball’s Best & Fairest Count

Sandhurst netballer Chloe Watson (VT6) and Kangaroo Flat netballer Madalyne Wharton (JR6) had both polled 22 votes going into the final round of the Carol Sing Medal for the 'Fairest and Best in the 17-and-under competition', when Chloe received 3 points for her performance against Eaglehawk, giving her a narrow victory to win the Medal. Chloe and Maddy will be back on court this weekend, representing their respective teams in the Grand Final. Good luck girls!

Congratulations also to talented young netballer Abby Gilmore (CH10) who had such a good year playing for Sandhurst that she won the CVGT Rising Star! Well done Abby.
