Dear Diary
Grease: enjoy the fun and laughter as you journey with the Pink Ladies and the T-Birds through their final year at Rydell High School, 1958.
The Production has concluded. It has been hailed as an outstanding success, and a credit to the school, and in particular the many Year 9s (and their teachers!) involved.
We want to especially thank:
Bendigo Theatre Company
Staff Management of the Capital Theatre
Walkers Bus Company
J's Music City
Ken Wells
The Office Staff of La Valla
Sue Poynton
Bendigo Rock 'n' Roll Club
Golden City Collectors Club
plus many staff at CCB, especially the production team:
Lisa Florence
Alannah Runnalls
Ian McArthur
Thank you all very much!
Your help was greatly appreciated throughout our school community.
When sweet and innocent Sandy Dumbrowski arrives at Rydell she is befriended by the some of the Pink Ladies. She soon finds out that her summer romance, Danny Zuko, also attends Rydell. But will he still feel the same as he did over the summer, or will Danny allow his reputation for being a cool, “ladies' man” stop them from being together?
Enjoy the colour of the big school dance held at Rydell High. Laugh at the antics of the T-Birds, as they always seem to get themselves into trouble. Sing along to the well-known and upbeat songs like, Greased Lightning, Summer Loving and We Go Together. Rock and roll to some high energy dance routines, as we flash back to the 50's (with a little 2008 thrown in!).
Grease is a timeless story enjoyed by people of all ages about those crazy high school days: the fun, the drama and the friendships that last a lifetime.

Dear Diary
We are so excited to be part of the Year 9 production, 'Grease'. Everyone has been working flat out preparing for the occasion preparing sets, creating costumes, rehearsing songs and refining dance routines. We are currently well ahead of schedule. With a few weeks to perfect the details, it will be an awesome show!
Last Sunday, we made it through the whole show at rehearsals, for the first time. All of the teachers involved agree it is looking great so far.
Marcus Treble (Danny) and Georgie Henshall (Sandy), along with the other main cast and ensembles, are sounding fantastic, with renditions of old favorites 'Summer Lovin', 'Greased Lightning' and 'We Go Together', to name just a few.
Miss Runnalls and the band have also been hard at it, preparing the music for the show, which once again is sounding terrific. Our dancers have been practising 6 hours a week and the dances are coming together well too. With all of this practice, fatigue is beginning to kick in! The excitement should pick up again soon, though, with only 5 weeks until opening night.
We have to give credit and a big vote of thanks to everyone involved in our show, especially Miss Florence, Miss Runnalls and Mrs Whitehead. Their willingness to provide their talents, time and effort will make this show sensational.
Mustn't forget to check out the Production page on the school website for more information and photos about 'Grease'! Oh yeah, and get mum to buy tickets on Monday! Can't wait!
