CCB 20-Year Anniversary
In 2003, a Gala Dinner was held to celebrate 20 years since the amalgamation of St Mary's College and Marist Brothers' College. 1983 marked a turning point in Catholic Education in Bendigo when a long-held dream became a reality. Despite massive logistical obstacles and some nostalgia, the two Colleges came together to forge new traditions and lead the way into the future.
To recognise the achievements of the past 20 years, the Gala Dinner was held on 6 September 2003 with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Sacred Heart Cathedral the following morning.
A large display of memorabilia was gathered together, including homerooms photos of Year 7 for each of the twenty years. Over 350 past students, past and present staff, parents and friends gathered to celebrate all that the College has become. The guests were entertained by talented past (and then current) students including: Kate DeAraugo, Ruth Wilkin, Chris Emond and Adam Lyon.
